Short description of the project
The project follows the humanistic and scientific tradition of Matej Bel. It makes his works Gemerská and Spišská stolica available to readers in a modern translation into Slovak language. This will be done through publications and international scientific conference, where experts will exchange information and experience in evaluating Bel’s work and the landscape of the 18th century for the present.

The project partners from Poland will present expert lectures in the framework of the international scientific conference and will be the guarantors of the scientific discussion related to the study of the works of Matej Bel and the research of the historical landscape in the 18th century (especially travel and tourism in the past).
The project partners from the Czech Republic will present expert lectures in the framework of the international scientific conference and will be the guarantors of the scientific discussion related to the study of the works of Matej Bel and the research of the historical river landscape in the 18th century.

Stručný opis projektu
Projekt nadväzuje na humanistickú a vedeckú tradíciu Mateja Bela. Sprístupňuje čitateľom jeho diela Gemerská a Spišská stolica v modernom preklade do slovenského jazyka. Uskutoční sa prostredníctvom publikácií a medzinárodnej vedeckej konferencie, na ktorej si odborníci vymenia informácie a skúsenosti pri hodnotení Belovho diela a krajiny 18. storočia pre súčasnosť.

Partneri projektu z Poľska prednesú odborné prednášky v rámci medzinárodnej vedeckej konferencie a budú garantmi vedeckej diskusie súvisiacej so štúdiom diela Mateja Bela a výskumom historickej krajiny v 18. storočí (najmä cestovania a turizmu v minulosti).
